The first stage of the competitions dedicated to our famous football players – Andriy Biba and Volodymyr Muntian – was held in Poltava. Yesterday, 11 teams of children hosted Khreshchatyk, where a special mini-football field was built.
You should have seen the radiant eyes of the 12-13 year old boys who had the opportunity to show their skills and skills in a short-lived one-day tournament! Matches consisted of two halves of 10 minutes each. It’s nice that the Poltava region in the capital was well represented: by four teams, and all these teams looked very worthy! Two teams represented Poltava, one more came from Hrebenka and Piryatin.
After a three-hour struggle on the site, the finalists were determined – Poltava’s Barvinok and Chaika from Hrebenka. In the decisive match Poltava players were able to show good teamwork and high individual skill. In front of the spectators in the capital Barvinok, under the guidance of coach Oleksander Kostrytsky won – 5: 1. The best player of the tournament was the player of the winning team Sasha Kozhevnikov.
Barvinok (Poltava) is the winner of the Kyiv stage of the national championship in backyard football.
The level of the competition is confirmed even by the fact that none of the lads returned home without prizes, presents and medals, which were awarded by Ukraine’s Minister of Sport Rafil Safiullin. The tournament was sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and has recently been working with All-Ukrainian Federation of Backyard Football headed by Ilya Kiva.
